Religious Religion

There is a reason the FLDS have the most bitter apostates of all other religions. The reason is simple; it is the very most religious. I don’t mean to sound redundant, but it is very true. Everything about life in the FLDS is part of the religious faith, starting with how life begins and families are formed, to daily habits and interactions, to everything even beyond death. The greater the importance anything is in life, the greater faith and religiously strict it is.

But when faith disappears, and is replaced by fear and justification for disobedience to the faith, it is like a light switch being turned off, everything sacred becomes everything hated. We are each light bulbs, and when someone explains most everything as dark, it is pretty obvious that the light bulb of faith is off.

Most people are rather indifferent about how other groups of people believe and live. Even though they do have prejudices against them, (to justify and elevate their own views and lifestyle) they usually don’t become crusaders without the help of information and leadership from ex members who paint everything possible with the dark colors of bitterness. The worse they make it look, the more support and celebrity they get, and the less likely anyone asks for a second opinion.

There are three central issues about the FLDS religion that are awesome to those who ascribe to the faith, things that are celebrated and loved, and looked forward to in heaven, but the bitter ex members vilify and hate the very most; they are marriage selection through prayer and revelation, Celestial plural marriage, and the United Order with a Prophet.

The apostates and their cult following call them: “forced assigned marriage”, “brainwashed sex slaves”, and “abusive Nazi dictator controlling their lives through fear”. The devil himself couldn’t twist the religion worse, and yet that is not the worst. They include “racial hatred”, and “blood atonement” as some central theme for the FLDS against those who apostatize. Only filthy and murderous hearts would spread such things.

I have seen and know families that I can say without a doubt “That is how it is in heaven”, I have seen and been a part of marriages that can never be described to me in anything less than direct from God, and the happiest and most wonderful way to ever enter the commitment to a wife or husband. And I have loved and longed to be a part of, and seen men who eat and sleep with a longing to help one another because they love God and His Prophet. These things are so very sacred and wonderful, and heavenly to me. I have seen heaven in part. I know what heaven feels like and I know what those who live as if they are already there act like. My very life is worth less to me than my longing to be with those people, and that man I call prophet.

It is because of me and my love, and the love others have for these wonderful doctrines and great men, that the apostates and their followers, with the media and government officials who love their dark hearted stories, hate the FLDS; most especially the leader. And it doesn't matter what his name is.

I look at the FLDS and see some truth there in the teachings. But as a Christian, I also see much perversion in it. How do you explain these verses from scripture:

Proverbs 30:5-6 “Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.”

It astounds me that so many people have fallen into the deception of the enemy and taken "The Book of Mormon" as truth. Clearly, Joseph Smith has added and taken away from God's words in the Bible. If every man could come up with his own "translation" (aka his own version) of what scripture says, we'd all be living our own twisted versions of the Christian religion.

What astounds me even more is that people in the FLDS believe they are the only ones worthy of going to Heaven. Have you not read John 3:16, which states that "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." The "whoever" in this verse applies to anyone that believes in Christ as God's Son. It is not for the people of the FLDS to choose who will end up in Heaven with eternal life- and notice how this verse says absolutely nothing about "celestial marriage"? That term was made up by someone who had no respect for God's living Word, the Bible.

Lastly, don't expect people on the outside to believe that people in the FLDS live perfect lives and that there is absolutely no truth in Carolyn Jessop's or Elissa Wall's memoirs. The fact that they both have testified to the same exact things and painted the same picture can only mean two things- either they are both lying, or they are both telling the truth. What reason would they have to lie? None. What about other women who we have seen on the news, documentaries, and on tv shows who paint the same picture of the FLDS and recall the same events, same lifestyle, same rules and regulations, same abuse? Are they all a band of Satan's allies trying to bring down a society of people who refuse to abide by the law and even further, they refuse to abide by GOD's law?! No. They are women (and men) that have been abused and mistreated by the FLDS.

Lastly, what I find sick and disturbing, is how so many women in the FLDS are on welfare because their husbands can't provide for them. No doubt you've heard of and used the term "bleeding the beast." So, I am supposed to work hard and give all my taxes to people who believe I am a sinner who is not going to Heaven because I don't have a husband and several sister wives? That is clearly Satan. Jesus said, ""Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's," meaning that his followers are to abide by the laws of the land and by God's. The amount of welfare fraud is sickening...and you think it is hurting the government only, and not just the people? Oh, I forgot...FLDS people don't care about people outside their religion. Everyone on the outside is evil. Right?

nonny,

Your arguments get dumber and dumber the more you write. I will post that one, but I will not post anymore of your replies unless you give a name to yourself.

I had to laugh when I read your citation of Proverbs 30 (a citation that was changed and is misquoted even by you), the entire New Testament was written afterwards, as well as several books in the Old.

The truth is in vs 5 "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." As God has the ability to speak even today, and He does if we listen.

But I find it strange that my religion bothers your religion enough for you to believe the lies of bitter ex wives. That only means you don't have enough faith in your own religion to allow for mine. That is pitiful to me, and I hope you can find peace, rather than vitriol, to keep you going.

We don't believe everyone else is going to hell, that is more nonsense, but we do believe that those who obey higher laws will be given higher heavenly mansions.

If you don't want your tax dollars to help PEOPLE in the FLDS, then I suggest you petition the government to mandate the end of welfare to people, whether they qualify or not, based on their religious beliefs. Does that sound American, let alone Christian, to you?

Dear annonymous
I think the same about your religious, i mean, cmon, the virgin Mary, i mean, she was married to Joseph, and she was pregnant by surprise? LOL
we all know how babies are made right?
And Jesus the prophet? Cmon, i mean, it was supposed to be that when the prophet came EVERYONE BELIEVED IN HIM WITHOUT A DOUBT,
And the 10 commandments, christianism changed them, it was SANTIFY THE SHABAT, and you changed them to santify the holidays, so you know what, all religions have faith in their own religions, I have faith in mine, you have faith in yours, and FLDS has faith in their religion.
The importance here is that i have to respect yours, and YOU HAVE TO RESPECT others!!!
That is the problem here. there is a religious persecution!!!
And I see you are starting to become one of them!!
BTW Carolyn and Elissa where "helped" by the same man DAN FISCHER, and HE TOLD THEM WHAT TO SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We claim the aprivilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

I'm sorry. but I had to laugh when anon said that the FLDS was wrong in saying that only FLDS will go to heaven and everybody else goes to Floraland.

She then says that she knows that CHISTIANS who belive in Jesus all get a ticket.

No Jews allowed dearie? How about Muslims, Buddhist and all those heathens you live a good life but don't sit in her church?

I'm not FLDS but I have been immersed in these people now for the past 8 month's.

I'm a little too old to join them, but when I die, I would consider it an Honor to be Baptized into their Faith.

Nephew, good to see you keeping the Faith as always.

Thanks for the laugh Anon.

"Carolyn Jessop's or Elissa Wall's ... The fact that they both have testified to the same exact things and painted the same picture can only mean two things- either they are both lying, or they are both telling the truth. What reason would they have to lie? None."

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Why would a bitter ex-wife (or husband) lie about their ex? What reason would they have? None. . . . other then pure hate. :D

But seriously, if you really wanted the truth you would be on the FLDS truth site (http://www.fldstruth.org) and the Truth Will Prevail site (http://www.truthwillprevail.org).

Here are a few articles I think you'd be interested in:

If you're wondering what could possibly make Elissa and Carolyn lie:

Articles about Carolyn:

(if you need to laugh I highly recommend this one)

And to answer your comment about Welfare:

Also note that the FLDS don't use Public Schools which saves the State nearly $1 million a year.

And I could go on. If you really wanted the truth you could have found it but it's obvious that you don't.

And don't start down the "How can that be right it was said by them" road. I challenge you to find one word of incorrectness on the TruthWillPrevail site. I assure you, you won't find even one.
